A South African official went missing in the flood in Mozambique.
On January 18th, local time, according to reports from South Africa, Moenggoe, a member of the Council for Roads and Traffic Affairs of the Ekurhuleni City Government in the Gauteng Province of South Africa, encountered a flood and went missing in Mozambique. Currently, the South African National Defense Force and relevant departments in Mozambique have jointly launched a search and rescue operation. The report stated that Moenggoe and accompanying personnel were swept away by floodwaters while traveling by car in the Qouei region of Mozambique, and the whereabouts of the people in the car are unknown. As of now, relevant departments have not yet confirmed the specific situation of the missing persons.
