In 2025, under the guidance of the leader's diplomatic strategy, China-Central Asia economic and trade cooperation has made significant progress. According to statistics from the Chinese customs, the total volume of goods traded in and out reached 106.3 billion US dollars in the year, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year, with a growth rate 6 percentage points higher than the previous year. The trade volume reached a new high. The total value of China-Central Asia imports and exports exceeded 100 billion US dollars for the first time in history, maintaining positive growth for five consecutive years. China has become Central Asia's largest trading partner for the first time, and the proportion of Central Asia in China's foreign trade has further increased. The commodity structure is improving. China's exports to Central Asia reached 71.2 billion US dollars, an increase of 11% year-on-year, with strong growth in machinery and high-tech products, and the market share of "new three types" of products steadily expanding. Imports from Central Asia reached 35.1 billion US dollars, an increase of 14% year-on-year, with a further enrichment of non-resource products such as chemicals, steel, and agricultural products. The expansion of new business formats empowers the trade. Cross-border e-commerce between China and Central Asia has maintained rapid growth, warehouse and logistics construction continues to advance, cross-border payment cooperation is fully deployed, and the China-Central Asia trade facilitation cooperation platform in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, has officially launched, making "Silk Road e-commerce" an efficient bridge for facilitating trade. The integration of trade and investment development. High-quality cooperation in the construction of the "Belt and Road" continues to deepen and solidify, with a number of major projects in areas such as connectivity, equipment manufacturing, green mining, and modern agriculture accelerating implementation, effectively driving the expansion of exports to the Central Asian region, supporting the industrial upgrading and economic revitalization of Central Asian countries.
