Belgium and Germany sending military personnel to Greenland Island.

On January 16th local time, a spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defense announced that 15 German military personnel sent to Greenland had arrived on the island. The spokesperson stated that the mission aims to plan exercises for the possible deployment of maritime patrol aircraft, while also emphasizing the possibility of larger scale deployments in the future. The German Ministry of Defense initially announced sending 13 soldiers, but later added two experts to the team. In addition, Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Philippe Goffin, released a statement on the same day that Belgium's Ministry of Defense will send a military personnel to the Arctic region on the 19th to participate in a joint military exercise on Greenland. It is reported that multiple countries, including Germany, France, the UK, and the Netherlands, have accepted Denmark's invitation to participate in a joint military exercise on Greenland.
