Central Meteorological Observatory: Cold air mass is moving southward, many places will experience the lowest temperatures of this winter.
The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that from January 17th to 21st, a cold wave will affect most parts of China from north to south, bringing strong temperature drops, strong winds, rain, snow, and freezing weather. During this cold wave period, many areas will experience the lowest temperatures of the winter, especially in southern regions like Jianghan and Jiangnan where temperatures were initially high.
In the following two days, regions like Central and East China will experience widespread rain, snow, and freezing weather. The latest meteorological monitoring data shows that in the past day, the cold wave has already started to impact northern regions, with temperatures dropping by 6-10C in areas such as eastern Inner Mongolia, southern Northeast China, North China, and the Yellow River-Huaihe regions, with some areas experiencing temperature drops of over 14C. Certain areas in Inner Mongolia and Liaoning have seen wind gusts of 6-8 on the Beaufort scale, and locally exceeding 10.
