The world's first "Hualong One" and high-temperature gas-cooled reactor nuclear energy comprehensive utilization project has started construction.

Today, the No.1 unit nuclear island of the Jiangsu Xuwu Nuclear Heating Power Plant in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province began concrete pouring, marking the beginning of the main construction phase and initiating China's transition from nuclear power generation to diversified supply. The No.1 unit of the Jiangsu Xuwu Nuclear Heating Power Plant is the world's first "Hualong One" pressurized water reactor and high-temperature gas-cooled reactor integrated utilization project, and also the world's first commercialization promotion project of high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. Here, nuclear energy not only generates electricity, but also has the ability to supply high-quality steam at the same time.
