The number of international tourists in Spain reached a record high in 2025.

Data released by the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism on the 15th showed that in 2025, the number of international tourists received by Spain increased by 3.5% compared to the previous year, reaching a record high of 97 million. The data also showed that in 2025, the expenditure of international tourists in Spain increased by 6.8% compared to the previous year, reaching a record high of 135 billion euros. The tourism industry's role in driving employment is further highlighted. In December of last year, the number of employees in the Spanish tourism-related industries increased by 2.4% compared to the same period the previous year, reaching 2.75 million people, also setting a historical record.
