In response to external doubts, NVIDIA has corrected the data on the demand for copper in data centers in one of its technical papers. The original paper incorrectly stated that a traditional data center with one gigawatt of capacity would require 50,000 tons of copper for busbars, when in fact the corrected amount is 200 tons, which is only 0.04% of the original figure. This also means that the expected demand for copper in data centers needs to be significantly reduced.
