On the 15th local time, the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Committee issued a decision to adjust the composition of the committee members, dismissing Faraaj Saleman Bakhisani from the membership of the Presidential Leadership Committee. With this, two out of the 8 members of the Presidential Leadership Committee have been dismissed. Previously, the leader of the Southern Transitional Council, Zubaidi, had his membership in the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Committee revoked. Currently, the number of members in the Presidential Leadership Committee has been reduced to 6, and the next step will be to appoint two new members to fill the vacant seats, in order to restore the committee's original 8-member structure. Bakhisani was formerly the commander of the second military district in Yemen, which is responsible for security and defense affairs in the Hadramout region. From 2017 to 2022, Bakhisani also served as the governor of Hadramout province. In April 2022, he was appointed as a member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Committee. Bakhisani is also a senior member of the Southern Transitional Council.
