The domestic independently developed 1200-kilowatt turboprop engine ignition test was successful.
Reporters learned from China Aviation Engine Group Limited on January 15 that the 1200-kilowatt turboprop engine ATP120A independently developed by its subsidiary, Harbin Dong'an Civil Aviation Engine Co., Ltd., successfully completed ignition tests in Harbin. The engine achieved stable ground operation under low temperature conditions of minus 30 degrees Celsius, marking the comprehensive entry of the research and development work into the testing and verification stage. The ATP120A engine adopts a full life cycle, low-cost design concept, and has features such as long life, good economy, low fuel consumption, high safety, and strong reliability. It can be widely used in general aviation aircraft, drones, and other general aviation aircraft platforms, with the potential for expansion in various directions such as hybrid propulsion systems and hydrogen fuel engines. Its comprehensive performance has reached the domestic leading level.
