Xi Zijie will invest in the joint venture company Zhongneng Optoelectronics: breakthrough in composite semi-transparent top electrode technology, expected to accelerate the localization process of space photovoltaics.
Recently, Xizi Jieneng, a shareholder of Zhongneng Optoelectronics Company, made a new breakthrough in composite semi-transparent top electrode technology, providing a new path for the development of high-end photovoltaic fields. In the field of space photovoltaics, this technology meets the requirements of the GB/T 42633-2023 standard, with current decay 2.5% after temperature shock tests, meeting the extreme temperature difference conditions in space. The thin design is suitable for the lightweight requirements of flexible solar wings, helping to approach the target of 550W/kg or higher specific power. The inorganic layer structure can also enhance radiation resistance, providing assurance for over 15 years of on-orbit service. Currently, the high-end photovoltaic field is facing the challenge of balancing "performance-stability-industrialization", and this technology provides a feasible path through three-dimensional performance optimization. Although long-term on-orbit verification and scalable cost control data are needed, relying on mature processes and excellent performance adaptability, it is expected to accelerate the mass production and localization of laminated batteries and the domestication of space photovoltaics, injecting momentum into the industry's technological upgrades.
