Since the launch of the island-wide closure operation in the Hainan Free Trade Port, the number of customs declaration units filing for consultation and applications has steadily increased, and the scale of foreign trade entities has continued to expand. According to statistics from Haikou Customs, from December 18, 2025 to January 10, 2026, the number of foreign trade entities registered in Hainan increased significantly, with a total of 4,709 registered. In 2025, Hainan added 31,000 new foreign trade entities, an increase of 41.7% year-on-year. Currently, there are over 100,000 foreign trade entities operating in Hainan.
