Yamato: The South Korean robot market is expected to see strong growth.
In a research report, Daiwa Capital stated that the South Korean robot market is expected to achieve strong growth, with the number of robot installations expected to surge from 31,000 units in 2024 to 99,000 units in 2030. Daiwa pointed out that this expected strong growth will be driven by artificial intelligence, which is accelerating the adoption of collaborative robots and pushing the manufacturing and logistics industries to accept humanoid robots at a faster pace than expected. Daiwa also mentioned that the demand for replacing traditional industrial robots may also drive strong growth. Daiwa has identified the robot actuator manufacturer Robotis and Samsung's affiliate company Rainbow Robotics as key beneficiaries of the so-called "humanoid robot super cycle" among local companies, and has initiated coverage on this sector, giving them a positive rating.
