Publicly arguing with Trump led to suspension, Ford workers receive support from the automotive union.
During a visit to a Michigan factory by US President Trump, a Ford car employee who was suspended for swearing has received support from the national union. "This auto worker at the Dearborn Truck Plant is a proud member of a powerful and fighting union - the United Auto Workers," said Laura Dickerson, Vice President of the union organization responsible for the Ford sector, in a statement on Wednesday. "He believes in the principle of freedom of speech, which we wholeheartedly support, and we will stand with our members to protect their right to speak out at work."
