Armenia and the United States will jointly establish Zangezur Corridor Development Company.
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 14th that Armenian Foreign Minister Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo issued a joint statement on the framework of the construction of the Zangezur Corridor project on the 13th. According to the joint statement, to build this multimodal transit corridor passing through Armenia, the two sides will establish a development company, with the U.S. holding 74% and Armenia holding 26%. The United States and Armenia recently launched the Zangezur Corridor project. The plan is to build a multimodal transit corridor 42 kilometers long, crossing Armenian territory and connecting Azerbaijan's mainland with its exclave. The corridor will include roads, railways, oil and gas pipelines, and fiber optic lines.
