According to the Haikou Customs, since the full closure operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port started on December 18, 2025, the number of inquiries and applications for registration of customs declaration units has steadily increased, and the scale of foreign trade entities has continued to expand. According to statistics from Haikou Customs, from December 18, 2025 to January 10, 2026, the number of registered foreign trade entities in Hainan increased significantly, with a total of 4,709 registrations. In 2025, Hainan added 31,000 new foreign trade entities, a year-on-year increase of 41.7%. Currently, there are over 100,000 foreign trade entities in Hainan.
