The gross domestic product of Lhasa region has exceeded one trillion yuan for the first time.

On January 14th, it was learned from the sixth session of the 12th People's Congress of Lhasa City that the regional GDP of Lhasa, Tibet is expected to exceed one trillion yuan for the first time in 2025. In 2025, investment and consumption in Lhasa City achieved steady growth. All 60 key projects in the city have started construction, with fixed-asset investment expected to grow by more than 5% year on year; the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 55.3 billion yuan, an increase of 5% year on year.
