CAAM: In December 2025, the domestic sales of traditional fuel passenger vehicles decreased by 29.6% year-on-year.

On January 14, the data from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed that the domestic sales of passenger vehicles in 2025 reached 24.065 million units, an increase of 6.4% compared to the previous year. Among them, the domestic sales of traditional fuel passenger vehicles reached 11.06 million units, a decrease of 497,000 units compared to the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 4.3%. In December 2025, the domestic sales of passenger vehicles reached 2.206 million units, a month-on-month decrease of 8.6% and a year-on-year decrease of 18.1%. Among them, the domestic sales of traditional fuel passenger vehicles reached 916,000 units, a decrease of 385,000 units compared to the same period last year, a month-on-month decrease of 7.4%, and a year-on-year decrease of 29.6%.
