JR East Japan and Japan Airlines Launch International Logistics Service

On January 13th, East Japan Railway Company and Japan Airlines launched a new service to transport goods overseas using the Shinkansen and airplanes. The two companies are using 8 major Shinkansen stations as starting points to transport goods to Singapore and 4 other countries and regions via Haneda or Narita airports. After conducting a demonstration experiment last year, they have officially started providing the service.
