The long-term government bond yield in Japan has hit a record low.

On the 14th, the yield on newly issued 20-year Japanese government bonds rose to 3.165%, reaching a historical high. Additionally, the yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds rose to 2.18% on the same day, reaching the highest level since February 1999. Various speculations surrounding the dissolution of the House of Representatives and holding of a general election continue to put pressure on the market, leading to a weak trend in Japanese government bond futures.
