The index-linked UK government bonds maturing in September 2035 are attractive, and the auction is expected to proceed smoothly.
King Capital Market strategist stated in a report that the index-linked UK government bonds maturing in September 2035 have dropped in the last few trading days, creating an attractive entry point for buyers. These strategists indicated that the UK Debt Management Office will auction 900 million of the index-linked UK government bonds at 1000 Greenwich Mean Time, and given the favorable valuations of the bonds, the auction is likely to proceed smoothly. The size of this auction is relatively small and this is the only time this quarter that the UK Debt Management Office will supply 10-year index-linked UK government bonds, which should provide support for the auction on Tuesday. They mentioned that the supply of index-linked UK government bonds this quarter is expected to be the lowest level for any quarter since at least 2006.
