China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) announced that on January 13, 2026, its wholly-owned subsidiary, COSCO Assets, signed a total of six shipbuilding agreements with Zhoushan Heavy Industries to construct six 3,000 TEU container ships. The total contract price for each ship is 330 million RMB, with a total contract price of 1.98 billion RMB for all six ships. This transaction constitutes a related party transaction, which has been approved by the company's board of directors and does not require approval from the shareholders' meeting. This transaction does not constitute a major asset restructuring as defined in the Measures for the Administration of Major Asset Restructuring of Listed Companies.
