The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers issued a statement on the positive results achieved in the consultation on the anti-subsidy case of electric vehicles between China and Europe. Both China and Europe adhere to the principle of mutual respect and have achieved important positive results through continuous dialogue and multiple rounds of consultations to promote a "soft landing" for the electric vehicle case. The European Commission issued guidance on the submission of price commitments, stating that the EU will follow the basic principles of non-discrimination, objectivity, and fairness, evaluate price commitments submitted by Chinese export car companies according to WTO rules and uniform standards, and allow qualified enterprises to replace anti-subsidy tariffs with price commitments. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers believes that the "soft landing" of the electric vehicle case is a vivid example of China and Europe resolving differences through dialogue and negotiation within the framework of WTO rules, and is of great significance for maintaining the healthy and stable development of Sino-European economic, trade, and investment cooperation and bilateral relations. The competitive advantage of Chinese electric vehicles comes from continuous technological innovation throughout the industry chain, as well as cost and technological advantages formed through full competition in the super-large market, rather than relying on subsidies. Our association supports relevant enterprises in fighting for export rights to Europe based on their actual situation and operational needs.
