On January 13th, the State Council Information Office held a routine policy briefing, introducing the relevant situation of the "Action Plan for Comprehensive Management of Solid Waste". Wang Peng, Director of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology actively promoted the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste and made positive progress. According to statistics from relevant industry associations, China's comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste has reached 57%. Next, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to work together with relevant departments to promote the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste, focusing on key waste-producing industries such as steel, non-ferrous metals, petrochemicals, and chemicals. The goal is to decrease waste generation intensity, promote green manufacturing in the production process, and focus on turning waste into valuable resources. The Ministry will strengthen the comprehensive utilization of large-scale industrial solid waste, actively promote the research and industrialization of advanced comprehensive utilization technologies, select national advanced and applicable technologies and equipment catalog for industrial resource comprehensive utilization, strengthen supply and demand coordination, and promote the application of advanced technologies.
