The China Securities Association organized a meeting of the Chairman's Committee and the General Meeting of the Securities Brokerage Business Professional Committee on December 31, 2025. Members of the meeting believe that the "15th Five-Year Plan" period is a crucial opportunity for the securities brokerage business to return to its essence and upgrade its transformation. As the core link in serving investors in the capital market, brokerage business is facing new industry changes such as the growth of diverse customer needs and accelerated digital transformation. Brokerage business should adhere to the essence of serving the real economy, focus on enhancing professional service capabilities, and provide investors with more comprehensive and professional financial services. The committee will implement regulatory requirements under the unified deployment of regulatory authorities and the leadership of the association, consolidate industry consensus, and jointly promote the high-quality development of securities brokerage business. Next, the committee will closely follow the work deployment of the CSRC and the association, deeply implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party and the important speech by Chairman Wu Qing at the eighth member congress of the association, effectively improve political positioning, adhere to prioritizing functions, return to the essence of business, improve self-discipline rules, focus on enhancing professional capabilities, strengthening compliance management, and empowering technology, among other key areas.
