According to informed sources, it is reported that the investment management subsidiary of Prudential Financial Group is considering selling its loss-making asset management business in India, which was acquired from Deutsche Bank ten years ago. The sources stated that the investment management business under Prudential Financial, PGIM Inc., has hired Ernst & Young to provide advisory services on the potential sale of its asset management subsidiary in India. The sources requested anonymity due to discussing confidential information. It was revealed by the sources that the sale of PGIM India Asset Management Pvt Ltd. is being pursued after its parent company evaluated the department's growth situation. The subsidiary manages assets worth around 266 billion rupees. In recent years, the subsidiary has seen almost no substantial expansion.
