The report shows that China's government data resource system has undergone systematic restructuring.
The "National Electronic Government Development Report" released recently by the National Internet Information Office shows that in the past decade, China's government data resource system has undergone systematic restructuring. A nationwide integrated government big data system has gradually formed, with a national integrated government data sharing hub established, releasing 32,000 types of data resources, supporting 54 billion shared calls by various regions and departments, and releasing tremendous value in serving economic and social development, improving people's livelihood, etc. The report states that in the past decade, e-government has empowered performance improvement and achieved overall enhancement. Cross-regional and cross-sectoral information sharing and business collaboration have achieved significant results, and the application of information technology in economic regulation, market supervision, social governance, ecological environmental protection, etc. continues to deepen. E-government service informatization has achieved leapfrog development, with 92.5% of provincial-level administrative licensing matters being handled online and "at most one visit", "efficient completion of one matter" services covering the entire life cycle of enterprises and individuals, and "cross-provincial processing" and "certificate-free processing" becoming the norm. The report believes that China's international influence in e-government is steadily increasing. In the United Nations E-Government Survey, China's e-government development index ranking has steadily increased from 70th place in 2014 to 35th place in 2024, and the online service index ranks 11th globally.
