Li Wenbo, former Deputy Secretary of the Politics and Law Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee, has been expelled from the party and dismissed from public office for disciplinary violations.

The Discipline Inspection Commission of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced: With the approval of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Autonomous Region has launched a case review and investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Li Wenbo, the former deputy secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Autonomous Region Party Committee. After investigation, it was found that Li Wenbo had no ideal faith, betrayed his original aspirations and mission, engaged in feudal superstition activities; disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, improperly accepted gifts, and frequented private clubs; violated organizational principles by concealing personal information; failed to maintain integrity, accepted money from others; violated laws and regulations, abused law enforcement, abused power for personal gain, engaged in corruption, and used his position to seek benefits for others in project contracting, case handling, and business operations, and illegally accepted a large amount of property. Li Wenbo seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and life discipline, constituted a serious violation of duty and is suspected of bribery, and has not restrained himself or stopped after the 18th National Congress of the Party. Based on relevant regulations such as the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Regulations on Disciplinary Action for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," after research by the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Region Discipline Inspection Commission and approval by the Autonomous Region Party Committee, it was decided to expel Li Wenbo from the Party, dismiss him from public office, recover the gains from his violations of discipline and law, and transfer the suspected crimes to the prosecution for investigation and prosecution, along with the transfer of all related property.
