The western city of Sudan has been hit by a drone attack, resulting in at least 17 deaths.

The Civil Administration Office of Sudan's West Darfur State issued a statement on December 26th local time, stating that the capital of West Darfur State, Geneina, was hit by a drone attack on that day, causing at least 17 civilian deaths and injuries to many others. The statement accused the Sudanese armed forces of carrying out the airstrike, which destroyed a water station and a civilian vehicle in Geneina, resulting in casualties. The Sudanese armed forces have not yet responded to the statement.
