"China Securities Journal: State-owned central enterprises' market value management enters a new stage of value creation"

date
27/12/2025
At the recent meeting of leaders of central enterprises, it was explicitly stated that there needs to be a strengthening of the quality and market value management of listed companies by 2026. This statement coincides with the one-year anniversary of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission's issuance of "Several Opinions on Improving and Strengthening Market Value Management of Central Enterprises' Controlling Listed Companies". Over the past year, with continuous policy support, market value management of central enterprises is accelerating from regulatory requirements to systematic actions by enterprises and real market commitments. Industry insiders believe that as the institutional system continues to improve and measures such as share buybacks and increasing holdings are intensively implemented, market value management has increasingly become an important comprehensive scale for measuring the effectiveness of state-owned enterprise reform, improving the efficiency of state-owned capital, and stabilizing market expectations. The new landscape of state-owned enterprise reform, with a core focus on enhancing value creation capabilities, is accelerating its expansion.
