The price of natural gas in the United States is rising, influenced by the colder weather outlook.
During the holiday period, the adjustment of the cold wave expectation in the weather model has impacted the closing price of natural gas futures in the United States. The natural gas meteorological forecasting website NatGasWeather pointed out in its report: "Meteorological data has already shown that temperatures will further decrease on December 30th to 31st; data from the past few days also indicates that heating degree days from January 1st to 4th will decrease by several units, which has become the core factor driving the rise in natural gas prices." The natural gas futures price on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by 2.9% to close at $4.366 per million British thermal units.
