The National Marine Energy Industry Development Alliance Inaugural Conference Held in Beijing
On December 24th, the National Ocean Energy Industry Development Alliance was established at a conference held in Beijing. More than 100 representatives from 58 member units nationwide attended the conference. The Ministry of Natural Resources, the National Energy Administration, and other departments provided guidance and support for the establishment of the alliance. Companies such as China Three Gorges Corporation and State Power Investment Corporation actively participated in the establishment of the alliance.
The National Ocean Energy Industry Development Alliance is composed of well-known companies, research institutes, and universities in the field of ocean energy. Its aim is to create a national-level cooperation platform for innovative collaboration, technology sharing, risk sharing, and shared benefits in the ocean energy industry. The alliance aims to improve the efficiency of technology transfer and application in ocean energy innovation, enhance the quality and efficiency of industry development by improving the entire ocean energy industry chain, and ensure the healthy and safe development of the industry.
At the first representative assembly of the alliance, the inaugural council was composed of 53 alliance units, with the National Marine Technology Center elected as the chair unit of the inaugural council. China Three Gorges Corporation, State Power Investment Corporation Zhejiang Electric Power Company, China Huaneng Group Investment Corporation, and Hainan Power Grid Company were elected as vice-chair units. The alliance secretariat is affiliated with the National Marine Technology Center.
On the same day, the alliance also held its first industry development exchange meeting, where six experts discussed topics such as promoting the large-scale utilization of ocean energy, marine energy development planning and layout, ocean energy generation technology and equipment, practical applications of wave energy generation technology, and on-site testing and evaluation of ocean energy generation devices.
