Tianjin University team developed a new generation of "single-atom blood vessel stent"

Recently, Professor Zhang Xiaodong's team from the School of Medicine at Tianjin University successfully developed a new type of high-performance single-atom biological catalytic material, and for the first time applied it to vascular stents, providing a new solution for the long-term treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Single-atom catalysts, like "efficient butlers" in chemical reactions, can quickly promote the conversion of key molecules, and have broad application prospects in energy and medical fields.
