National Health Commission: This year, the number of infant and toddler daycare slots per thousand people nationwide has reached 4.73.

The National Health Commission held a press conference today to introduce the situation of the practical projects serving the people. Wang Haidong, Director of the Population and Family Department of the National Health Commission, stated that the National Health Commission will include "achieving a ratio of 4.5 daycare slots for every 1,000 children under 3 years old, adding 660,000 universal daycare slots nationwide" in the practical projects serving the people in the national health system by 2025, taking the livelihood of the people as an opportunity to steadily increase the supply of childcare services. This year, the number of daycare slots for every 1,000 children under 3 years old nationwide reached 4.73, with an additional 890,000 universal daycare slots, exceeding the target of universal childcare as a livelihood project ahead of schedule.
