On December 26, the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted guidance on price competition order compliance in the solar industry in Hefei, Anhui province. The Administration reported on the illegal pricing issues and risks in the solar industry, pointing out the "internal circulation" competition behaviors such as low-quality competition and homogenization of repeated construction currently existing in the industry, which have led to widespread profit difficulties for enterprises, distorted market resource allocation, and inhibited enterprises' willingness to invest in technological innovation and product upgrades, resulting in the "adverse selection" effect. The State Administration for Market Regulation emphasized the importance of the entire industry fully recognizing the significance of rectifying the "internal circulation" competition in the solar industry. Solar companies should conduct production and operations in accordance with the law and regulations, strictly prohibit collusion on prices, price fraud, and other unfair pricing behaviors; resolutely eliminate false advertising, commercial bribery, and other unfair competition behaviors. Power generation companies should take responsibility, adhere to high quality and reasonable prices in bidding for solar projects, and strengthen requirements for product quality. Industry associations should effectively fulfill their self-discipline functions, guiding companies to achieve win-win situations through innovation enhancement, quality optimization, and service upgrades, collectively promoting the formation of a healthy, orderly, and sustainable industry ecology. The State Administration for Market Regulation will strengthen product quality oversight, enhance price regulation and anti-unfair competition enforcement, strictly crack down on illegal activities, effectively uphold a fair market competition order, and promote the standardized, healthy, and sustainable development of the solar industry. Comrades from the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, and market regulatory departments in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Qinghai and other provinces, as well as representatives from power generation groups, solar companies, and industry associations participated in the event.
