On the afternoon of December 26th, Sina Technology learned that recently, some Midea dealers received notification letters that prices of Midea Building Technology series products have been increased by 5%. The core reason for this price adjustment is the continuous and significant rise in global prices of materials such as copper, iron, and aluminum, leading to increased manufacturing costs for upstream manufacturers. The price adjustment will be effective from December 15, 2025. In response to this news, Midea Building Technology stated that the company has not issued a nationwide announcement for a uniform price increase across all products, and each region can independently establish service value-added and sales support policies based on local market conditions. On the actual sales front, a Midea dealer mentioned, "For intended customers who place orders and ship before the end of December, our company will still adhere to the original price. However, starting from January 1st of next year, we will also adjust the prices of main selling models, with specific prices subject to the latest quotation." Midea Building Technology is one of Midea Group's ToB business segments, mainly involving building products, services, and related industries, covering HVAC, smart elevators, energy management, building control, etc. Its products include multi-split units, large chillers, unit machines, computer room air conditioning, escalators, elevators, freight elevators, as well as building control software and building weak current integrated solutions. Financial report data shows that this business segment has maintained rapid growth in recent years. In the first three quarters of 2025, Midea Group's revenue was 364.716 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.85%. Among them, revenue from smart building technology was 28.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25%, accounting for approximately 7.7% of total revenue. In fact, in recent years, with the continuous rise in upstream material costs, according to incomplete statistics, many HVAC companies such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Haier, TICA, Linuo, EK have all increased prices. This is not the first time that Midea Building Technology has adjusted prices due to cost pressures. As reported by the media, in March 2022, Shanghai Klaivo Midea HVAC Equipment Co., Ltd. announced that starting from April 1st of the same year, prices for the full range of Midea Building Technology products would be increased due to continuous rises in raw material prices, shortages of key components such as chips, and continuous increases in labor costs.
