Industrial value added of scale enterprises increased by 5.9% year-on-year in 2025.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed that the industrial economy will maintain steady progress by 2025, with the expected year-on-year growth of 5.9% in the value added of large-scale industries. Data shows that from January to November this year, the value added of high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing industries increased by 9.2% and 9.3% respectively. The pace of transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry is accelerating, with more than 7,000 advanced and over 500 outstanding smart factories built so far. A total of 6,430 national green factories and 491 green industrial parks have been nurtured, with the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste reaching 57%. It is understood that there are currently over 600,000 science and innovation-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises and 504,000 high-tech enterprises in China. Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng stated that efforts will be made to consolidate the positive trend of the industrial economy, implement a new round of ten key industry stability and growth plans, and continue to enhance the autonomy and controllability of the industrial chain.
