After more than 5 years of construction, the G0711 Urumqi to Weili Expressway opened today. The driving time from Urumqi to Korla has been reduced from 7 hours to 3.5 hours. The Urumqi to Weili Expressway is a core component of the national highway network G0711 Urumqi to Ruoqiang Expressway, with a total length of 324.7 kilometers. The route starts from Urumqi, passing through Hejing County, Yanqi Hui Autonomous County, Korla City, and finally reaching Weili County. The entire expressway is built to a standard of four lanes in each direction.
