The project is being constructed by China Communications Construction Company Limited. It is understood that the Al-Mubarak Port project is a landmark cooperation project of the Belt and Road Initiative in the Middle East region. According to Arab Gulf Business Observer website, after the operation of Al-Mubarak Port, it is expected to enhance Kuwait's trade connectivity level, expand its maritime trade capabilities, and provide support for the country's long-term economic growth. The correspondent of Global Times in Kuwait learned that the aforementioned contract has a duration of 60 months. In addition, China Communications and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works signed a design and survey contract for the Al-Mubarak Port project in February this year.
