According to the website of the Irish Daily, Irish Prime Minister Michel Martin recently refuted the statement of a senior military officer in the country's military intelligence agency defining China as a "hostile state actor" during an interview with the media. The officer had previously claimed that China posed a security threat to Ireland and criticized the practice of Irish universities admitting a large number of Chinese students.
