The achievements in informatization development and e-government development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period were released at an event held in Beijing on the 25th. According to the event, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the level of information technology application in China has significantly improved, with the Internet penetration rate increasing from 70.4% to 79.7%. The development of digital villages has accelerated, narrowing the gap in Internet penetration rates between urban and rural areas by 8.2 percentage points compared to the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan". The informatization rate of agricultural production has increased from 22.5% to over 30%.
