The State Administration for Market Regulation and the State Internet Information Office have changed the standards for the verification of personal information for outbound transfers.

The State Administration for Market Regulation and the Cyberspace Administration of China have announced that the national standard GB/T 46068 "Data Security Technology - Personal Information Cross-Border Processing Activity Security Certification Requirements" has been officially released. In order to implement the "Measures for the Administration of Personal Information Protection", and ensure the orderly implementation of personal information certification for cross-border processing activities, the following requirements are now clearly defined: starting from the date of this announcement, in the "Notice on the Implementation of Personal Information Protection Certification", the standards for personal information protection certification involving cross-border processing activities will be changed to GB/T 35273 and GB/T 46068.
