United Nations: Global forest product trade and production showed signs of recovery last year after a significant decline in 2023.

The "2024 Global Forest Products Facts & Figures" report released by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization on December 24th pointed out that after a significant decline in 2023, the global forest products industry showed a stable trend in 2024. In 2024, global wood and paper products exports increased slightly by $7 billion, reaching $486 billion, still higher than all historical levels before 2021. Non-wood forest products exports also increased to $25 billion, further confirming the growing economic importance of the forest industry.
