Former vice mayor of Ulanqab City Government in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Wang Guoxiang, has been expelled from the party.
The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission reported on December 25 that, according to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has initiated an investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Wang Guoxiang, former member of the party group and deputy mayor of Ulanqab City Government in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
After investigation, it was found that Wang Guoxiang had lost his ideal and belief, betrayed his original intention and mission, violated political discipline, obstructed organizational inspections; disregarded the spirit of the eight-point regulations of the Central Party, accepted shopping cards that may affect the fair execution of official duties; lacked organizational principles, concealed personal matters, sought personal gain and received money through manipulation of cadre selection and appointment, used his influence to arrange jobs for relatives; abandoned integrity bottom line, lent money to the management service object and collected interest; used his position for personal gain in business contracting, cadre selection and appointment to unlawfully accept huge amounts of property.
Wang Guoxiang seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline and integrity discipline, committed serious violations of duty and suspected bribery crimes. He did not restrain himself or stop his actions after the 18th National Congress of the Party, with a serious and detrimental impact, and should be severely dealt with. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Discipline of the Communist Party of China," "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Public Servants' Disciplinary Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China," after deliberation at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, it was decided to expel Wang Guoxiang from the party, revoke his benefits, confiscate his ill-gotten gains, and transfer his suspected criminal offenses to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law, along with the transfer of related assets.
