According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the calculation results show that the development index of the Yangtze River Delta region in 2024 is 135.0, an increase of 2.6 compared to 2023. Since the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region was elevated to a national strategy in 2018, the development index of the Yangtze River Delta region has increased by an average of 3.3 annually. Among them, the sub-indices of innovation co-building and green co-protection have improved rapidly, reaching 160.6 and 163.8 in 2024, respectively, an increase of 8.2 and 6.3 compared to 2023; the sub-indices of demonstration leading, coordinated progress, and people's livelihood sharing have steadily increased, reaching 129.8, 131.0, and 130.4, respectively, an average annual increase of 2.3, 4.4, and 3.1 compared to 2018; the sub-index of open win-win has fluctuated slightly, reaching 106.6 in 2024.
