Polycrystalline silicon production in January has limited reductions; the price of solar panels continues to rise.
Polysilicon production in December is expected to be 113,500 tons domestically, with current demand for silicon wafers still slightly exceeding supply. Production of polysilicon in January is expected to remain above 100,000 tons, with some manufacturers reducing production, but to a limited extent. Battery prices have recently increased, with manufacturers actively controlling the pace of shipments to support prices; however, downstream demand remains cautious and hesitant in purchasing, except for essential needs. The power struggle between upstream and downstream sectors has intensified, leading to an increase in inventory levels in the battery segment. Currently, inventory levels in the upstream sector of the photovoltaic battery market continue to slightly rise on a weekly basis.
