According to China Railway Group, the Wuhan to Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway along the Yangtze River will start operating tomorrow. The fastest travel time from Wuhan to Yichang is 69 minutes, providing a new fast passenger transport route between the Jianghan Plain and western Hubei. The Wuhan to Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway is 314 kilometers long, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and includes 8 stations: Hankou, Hanchuan North, Tianmen, Jingshan South, Zhongxiang South, Jingmen West, Dangyang West, and Yichang North.
