Chengdu has issued the "Chengdu Municipal Approval Management Measures for Residential Areas and Buildings of Significant Geographical Significance", which standardizes the naming and renaming of residential areas and buildings. The new regulations specify naming prohibitions and restrictions, including political and cultural bottom lines, name sources, and the prohibition of exaggerated language, promoting a negative list and encouraging names that reflect historical and cultural connotations. At the same time, the regulations stipulate the conditions and procedures for naming and renaming applications, new projects, completed but unnamed projects, etc. can apply, and applications can be submitted online. Prohibition of exaggerated language: words deliberately exaggerated such as "World", "Universe", "Central", "Europe", etc. are prohibited. The use of words such as "China", "Chinese", "National", "International", "World", etc. is generally not allowed, and if necessary, there should be sufficient reasons and strict review.
