The Wuwei Expressway will be opened to traffic on December 26th.

According to Xinjiang Daily, it was learned from the Transport Department of the autonomous region that the G0711 Urumqi to Weili Expressway will be opened to traffic on December 26. The Urumqi-Weili Expressway is 324.7 kilometers long, starting from the West Mountain South Interchange of the Urumqi Ring Expressway and ending in Weili County. Construction began in April 2020. After the opening, the driving time from Urumqi to Korla will be shortened from the previous 7 hours to 3.5 hours.
