Regulations on the Management of Export Sales Certificates for Medical Devices Released

On December 25th, the National Medical Products Administration issued the "Regulations on the Management of Export Sales Certificates for Medical Devices". The "Regulations" will be implemented starting from May 1, 2026. The "Regulations" are an important measure taken by the National Medical Products Administration to implement the State Council's Opinion on the Comprehensive Deepening of Drug and Medical Device Supervision Reform to Promote the High-quality Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, fully supporting the export of medical devices, and optimizing the service-related matters of issuing export sales certificates for medical devices by drug supervision and management departments. The release of the "Regulations" will provide greater support and more convenient services for the export of medical devices in China, help accelerate the "going global" process of Chinese medical device products, better reach out to the world, and contribute to the public health globally.
