In mid-December, the daily crude steel production of key steel enterprises dropped by 1.3% compared to the previous month.

According to the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, in mid-December 2025, key steel companies produced a total of 18.45 million tons of crude steel, with an average daily production of 1.845 million tons, a decrease of 1.3% compared to the previous month; 16.81 million tons of pig iron, with an average daily production of 1.681 million tons, a decrease of 1.9% compared to the previous month; and 18.03 million tons of steel, with an average daily production of 1.803 million tons, a decrease of 1.4% compared to the previous month.
